Deal AI (“we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Deal AI mobile app and website at deal-ai.app.

1. Overview

Deal AI does not require you to create an account or log in. Most app data — including your scan history, preferences, and saved reports — is stored locally on your device.

2. Information we process

• Photos you scan: When you run a scan, product or listing images are sent to our servers for AI analysis so we can generate your Buy Check Report.
• Optional details: Any notes you add (brand, seller notes, concerns) may be included with your scan request.
• Device data: Basic technical data needed to operate the app and process requests (e.g. app version, request metadata).
• Support emails: If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to send.

3. How we use information

• Identify products and generate AI Buy Check Reports
• Compare two deals when you use the Compare feature
• Operate, secure, and improve the service
• Respond to support requests
• Process subscriptions through Apple’s App Store

4. AI processing

Deal AI uses cloud-based AI services (including Google Gemini via Firebase Cloud Functions) to analyze images and generate reports. Scan images are processed to provide the features you request. We do not use your data for advertising or sell your personal information.

5. Local storage

Scan history, preferences, and related app state are stored on your device. You can delete this data at any time from Profile → Delete account.

6. Notifications

If you enable notifications, Deal AI may schedule local reminders on your device (for example, to scan your next deal). We do not use notifications for third-party advertising.

7. Third-party services

• Apple App Store / StoreKit (subscriptions and payments)
• Firebase / Google Cloud (hosting and backend functions)
• Google Gemini API (AI analysis, server-side)

8. Tracking

Deal AI does not use App Tracking Transparency (ATT), IDFA, third-party advertising networks, or cross-app tracking for ads.

9. Children

Deal AI is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Data retention

Local app data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. Server-side processing of scan images is limited to what is needed to fulfill your request and operate the service securely.

11. Your choices

• Delete local app data: Profile → Delete account
• Manage subscriptions: Apple ID → Subscriptions
• Disable notifications in iOS Settings
